Kathy Evans
Before becoming an osteopath, Kathy worked at The Royal London Hospital in the field of Bone & Joint Research. This medical background provided valuable experience in the areas of rheumatology and orthopaedic medicine. Since qualifying, she has specialised mainly in mechanical back problems, and was based at the West Cross Medical Centre for almost five years.
She has also undertaken postgraduate training in Animal Osteopathy, and was taught by Stuart McGregor, a leading authority in the treatment of animals. Stuart has trained most of the leading practitioners through his postgraduate osteopathy course. Kathy is a founder member of UK Equine Osteopaths, and spent two incredible years working on a professional racing yard as part of the training team. She has also treated many dogs including domestic pets, working dogs and show dogs, including agility and obedience champions at Crufts.
Kathy has completed postgraduate courses at the European School of Osteopathy in Cranial Osteopathic techniques, with particular interest in children’s facial bone development and dental abnormalities. She has worked with dentists in England and Wales.
John Palmer
Before qualifying as an osteopath, John worked as a sports physiologist running a successful GP exercise referral scheme for the local health authority. He has developed a particular interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries. Since being based in South Wales he has been proud to be involved in providing osteopathic treatment for Welsh elite athletes and professional rugby players including current Welsh internationals.
John is also one of the few osteopaths in Wales to be providing treatment for NHS patients, and has worked in Swansea and Rhondda GP surgeries.
